Remember this. Keep this close to your heart. This isn’t a flesh and blood war that’s being waged. We can’t see our real enemy with eyes of flesh! We can’t hear this enemy coming with ears of flesh! We can’t outwit this enemy with a carnal mind! This enemy doesn’t respect your church-e ways. This enemy laughs at you when you go to binding him up without the power of the Holy Ghost! Then when he finishes laughing at you, he offers what you thought you had bound because he knows you lacked the power to begin with. Remember the seven sons of Sceva in Acts 19:13-16.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. – Ephesians 6:12
What’s written in Ephesians 6:12 will tell you that you can’t see your real enemy. You can’t punch your real enemy. You can’t even shoot your real enemy. Your real enemy isn’t the person on your job causing you grief. Your real enemy isn’t that person at your church that’s being anything but a Christian with unconditional love. You can’t see your real enemy!
The carnal mind is an enemy of God (Romans 8:7), but it is an ally for the devil, your real enemy. Your carnal mind is a tool for the devil. He knows he can take your mind and twist it to cause you to do whatever he wants you to do to hurt someone and yourself. He knows your carnal mind won’t allow you to acknowledge the Lord in all your ways. He knows your carnal mind will cause you to lean onto the understanding he, the devil has given you, and not trust in the Lord in all of your ways. This is for me as well as you.
Stop fighting what you see and rely on God to equip you to deal with the real enemy. You have been without long enough. You have been sick for too long. You have been deceived even longer. Repent and ask Jesus to forgive your sins so you can be covered by the blood of the Lamb and be protected by the fortress He has prepared for you to finish this war and run the race of faith.
