This passage came to me through an email I received this morning and it caused me to think about the way things are today. According to the ways of this world, the words willing and obedient seem to be words that some people hate and will fight tooth and nail to avoid.
If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land; – Isaiah 1:19
A lot of people aren’t willing to submit to God or each other. A lot of people don’t take being obedient to rules and laws serious and go about their own way living life on their terms. It pains me to see people being cheated of a peaceful, fruitful and meaningful life all because they refuse to be obedient to the word of God.
God has lots of promises that He wants to fulfill in our lives. This world belongs to Him and our souls belong to Him as well. He is compassionate toward us and loves us very much. And that love He has for us surpasses what this world can offer. His love is full of power and there’s nothing He won’t do for those who are willing and obedient to His word. He is waiting to bless us first spiritually and then naturally. I’ll end on this thought: “Exactly what does eat the good of the land mean to you?”
