This post is mainly aimed at people who have allowed Jesus to be their Savior and have experienced a change in their life, apart from sin. Don’t be judgmental and boring when you share your Christian faith!

Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one. – Colossians 5:5-6

There are some people in the world who will benefit from your testimony. There are some people who have never heard the gospel. There are some people who have heard the gospel and have forgotten. There are some people who don’t want to hear the gospel. We aren’t saved to be set aside in some secret society. We are supposed to mingle in the world to show the light of the Lord, His holiness and His compassion in our lives. (Matthew 5:16) So when we approach people and want to tell them about the gospel and transformation of our lives, use wisdom (Matthew 10:16) but don’t be boring.

If you don’t show love and excitement when you talk about the Lord, then you won’t convince anyone to accept the love Jesus is waiting to give. Imagine a salesman who is boring and doesn’t have any knowledge of the car he’s trying to sell you. Would you buy the car? I don’t think so. Be excited and represent with excitement. You want people to experience what you’re experiencing.

Salt makes things better. Food tastes better. It preserves. It cleans.

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. – Matthew 5:13

Study the word of God and be knowledgeable of the scriptures and always be ready to answer any questions about your faith in Jesus. Represent Him well and with enthusiasm!
